Give your memory a moment
A flashcard shows a word before its meaning. Try to remember it, then tap to reveal the answer. The moment before the reveal is your chance to practise recall.
Tell the app what actually happened
Use Got it when you remembered the meaning and Again when you want another look. Swipe right or left, or use the visible buttons. Undo is there for the occasional accidental tap.
Meet difficult words again
A missed card returns after a few other cards, up to twice in the current session. The app also saves a review schedule: a first successful review is due again after a day, and later successful reviews gradually increase the interval, up to 180 days. A missed word is due again sooner.
This is a simple interval scheduler, not FSRS. A completed lesson means you finished that practice; it does not mean a word is permanently mastered.
Listen, then try the other direction
Normal and slower system pronunciation help you hear a new word. In reverse recall, an English cue asks you to remember the word in your chosen language. The iOS app keeps a separate schedule for each direction.
Make a habit that feels like yours
Choose a daily pace, turn gentle reminders on if they help, and switch between Playful and Focus modes. Add your own cards when you discover a word in a book, a conversation, or a café menu.
Keep your progress with you
The current app keeps learning data on your device. Export a backup in Preferences → Your data before moving phones or deleting the app. There is no automatic account-based sync.
